- Polish National Anthem. Poland was
had been divided an colonized by Russia, Prussia, and Austria for 125 years
until the end of World War I. The Polish people had their hero in their
hearts and minds. He was General Henryk Dabrowski who would lead his
Polish troops from Italy to liberate their country. They had a song
dedicated to him, and this song eventually became the Polish national anthem.
The song of General Kim Il-Sung was composed in 1946, but it was not for the young man who came to Korea as an agent of Stalin and Beria, totally unknown to Koreans. This young man was known as Gazza (faked) Kim Il-Sung. Until 1946, General Kim Il-Sung meant to every Korean as a legendary figure who could perform miracles in the battles against Japanese. This song was composed for this true (though legendary) General Kim Il-Sung respected by all Koreans. Koreans had this kind of image for their (true) kim Il-Sung in their hearts and mind.
- The composer did not think North Korea's faked hero deserved
his song, and he fled to the South in 1950 during the Korean war.
This is the reason, why North Korean authorities did not specify who
the composer was for their most important song.
North Korean authorities later added another verse to this song, and faked in the composer's name. Click here to see how North Korean authorities faked Kim Il-Sung's photo. This is the only photo available for patriotic activities conducted in Manchu.
Poland is a country having an environment similar to that of Korea. Like Korea, the country is surrounded by big powers. Two hundred years ago, Poland was occupied by Russia (east), Prussia (west), and Austria (south), and remained divided until Woodrow Wilson's declaration of the self-determination of the nations at the the end of World War I.
Jan Henryk Dabrowski of Poland. This is the image of true Kim Il-Sung Koreans had before October of 1945.
Shortly after Poland disappeared from the map, Henryk Dabrowki organized a unit of Polish army in Italy under Napoleon's command. The purpose of this Polish army was to march to Poland and liberate the country. This army has a song known as "Mazurek Dabrowskiego," Dabroski's Polish army vanished after Napoleon collapsed, but the Polish people continued singing this song throughout the brutal colonial period. This song is now the national anthem of Poland. Let us hear the
